THE MISS FOUNDATION

Kindness Walk Phoenix, AZ

 Phoenix,  Arizona

Sunday May 13, 2011 – Mother’s Day
Registration 6:45 am!
Walk Begins: 7:30 am

Each day around the world, parents walk their babies, safely nestled in their strollers, around parks, neighborhoods, schools and even zoos. Each day around the world, parents hear the steps of their children come through the door at the end of their school day. Each day around the world, parents experience their children's feet returning home for family gatherings and holidays.

But, tragically..., not all children get to ride in their strollers, return home at the end of the school day, or spend time with family.

The Kindness Walk is an International memorial walk to remember all the mothers, fathers, and families-and their beloved children-and to honor those relationships on the most sacred of days for families; Mother's Day.

The MISS Foundation's international community invites you and your loved ones to participate in our Kindness Walk: We Walk For Them because death is NOT bigger than a families love, and because even in their absence, they continue to walk with us as we walk for them.

This event's Kindness Project is called Beautiful Soles, and will take place at the conclusion of the walk. Here, families will donate new or gently used shoes, and adorn the shoes with a legacy message in honor of their beloved child. The Beautiful Soles will then be donated to local organizations that serve needy children: The legacy of our beloved children will literally walk on in another child.

I am the Father of 5 children, Ages: (In Heaven Dawn 33), Kristen-30, Nicole-29, Michael Jr.-27, and Michelene- 19.

After the loss of my daughter Dawn in 2001 to a hit and run driver, I was fortunate to learn about the MISS Foundation which has helped reshape my life. I am hoping that this tragic event in my life and the things I have learned along the way have suited me to help other parents cope with this unthinkable loss we share.
